SuperStar Capricorn - West Pacific Cruises

Season: *Scheduled to run all year long, but subject to possible change in ports of call, specials, etc...

A cheaper alternative year-round to flying to Hong Kong/Okinawa/Bangkok for a 'visa run' is to take a cruise that leaves Taiwan for 1 night, going out into international waters and back (you sail around Yonaguni Island with no disembarkation.)

The 2nd option is a 3 day trip out into international waters and back. The 3rd option is a 4 day trip to the Okinawan port of Nakagusuku where you dock for a night and can leave the boat for the evening but must return for the cruise back.

All three options provide you with that oh-so-valuable visa stamp (it requires that you leave Taiwan's border and enter international waters/land and then return).

They also have an onboard casino if you want to gamble the night away. They serve 4 free meals daily and you are given one free bottle of water when you board, but other drinks average NT$40-NT$150 for softdrinks to cocktails. You can also bring your own drinks onboard if you like. If you bring any alcohol on board, you can't take any of it off the ship. They also charge a fee for opening a bottle of wine or champagne onboard.

Note: You are required to bring your passport. For holders of non-multiple entry visas, you will only receive a 1 month landing visa, but multiple entry holders will receive the full 30 or 60 days of their visa.

The up to 4 days of cruising is counted as only one for your visa/passport.
