Writing Dates in Taiwan
The official way dates are written in Taiwan is based on the founding date of the Republic of China (in mainland China) in 1911. Thus, 2003 is actually the year 92 since they started counting from zero in 1911. However, most people are aware of the Western style of writing dates and will understand if you write it differently.
All dates are written with the year first, then month, then the day. Western Taiwan 2 January 2003 = 92/1/2 |
