| Most people either stay with friends or in a hotel when they first arrive in Taichung as there are currently no real hostels as in Taipei (or they are priced the same as hotels in Taichung and aren't necessary.) Most of the cheaper hotels surround the Train station and are about 15 minutes from the 'Little Europe' or newer area of town where most expat bars/restaurants are located. Generally speaking the lower the price, the lower the quality... |
